This afternoon, Ken Potrock shared some behind the scenes looks at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland Park! From a backstage building, Potrock gets to watch the magic being built every single day! In this Instagram post, they also announced that Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway delayed to 2023.
We originally got the news that the attraction would open in 2022 in the Mickey’s Toontown area of Disneyland. Of course, this year are the closures have put work at Disneyland behind, as we have seen at Avenger’s Campus at Disney California Adventure Park. We are sure that both additions to the Disneyland Resort are going to be incredible when they debut!
Though the work has been delayed, they’re not just getting started! Ken Potrock announced that he watched the construction crews place the first vertical steel beam for the attraction from his window at Team Disney Anaheim. In the video, it’s very fun to get a look at the rest of Disneyland Park, like the Matterhorn mountain standing tall in the distance.
