Katie Dippold to Write New Haunted Mansion in the Works with Disney

Grim grinning ghosts are coming out to socialize! This week, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Katie Dippold would be writing the new Haunted Mansion live-action film based on the attraction for Disney.

Dippold, who is behind films like Ghostbusters reboot and The Heat, is reportedly set to pen the new film. While there are many fans who love The Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy from 2003, many fans are hoping for an exciting new take. The attraction has been a classic among Disney fans since it opened at the Disneyland Resort in 1969.

I am personally thrilled to see Katie Dippold behind this film! I really enjoy her work on Ghostbusters and feel that she’ll be able to capture the tone of the attraction well. The film has to be able to be fun and silly while also being spooky and safe for the whole family! I can’t wait to see the work she gets a chance to do as she creates this exciting live-action film for Disney!
