The Walt Disney World Resort has suspended its cultural representative program indefinitely. Along with the suspension of the program, Disney also has revoked offers of employment for those who were approved to be a part of 2020 and 2021.
Disney fans may recognize this program when they visit EPCOT’s World Showcase. Generally, Cast Members at the World Showcase pavilions are from the country they are working in. This makes them authentic authentic representatives.
An email has been sent out to candidates for the Cultural Representative Program that gave the news of the program’s indefinite suspension and offers of employment withdrawn. Originally, start dates had been delayed.

The news of the suspension of this program comes just the day before EPCOT reopens. For the foreseeable future, Cast Members that are not from the specific countries will be found working around World Showcase. It is unknown when the Cultural Representative Program will return at this time.
