As much of the country and the world continues to weather the storm of COVID-19, Disney has been sharing #DisneyMagicMoments to bring Disney magic from the parks and into homes. Today, Disney brings some magic from Shanghai Disneyland into homes with a ride and learn of TRON Lightcycle Power Run.
TRON Lightcycle Power Run opened with Shanghai Disneyland on June 16, 2016, when the park opened. It takes guests on a high-speed race for survival. It was created as a way for both “Programs” and “Users” to interact. Power Run teams compete against each other as they zoom to capture 8 Energy Gates and defeat their opponents. It was inspired by the 1982 movie TRON and its sequel TRON: Legacy in 2010.
When Shanghai Disneyland and TRON Lightcycle Power Run opened in 2016, Murray was on hand to chronicle this historic day. Here are videos of his experience both during the day and at night:
