The Disney Skyliner has reached a momentous milestone after being open for just a few weeks. It has transported its 1 millionth guest above the skies of the Walt Disney World Resort.
The Disney Skyliner connects Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to four Disney resort hotels: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (and Disney’s Riviera Resort, a Disney Vacation Club resort opening on Dec. 16, 2019).
On top of improving the ability of guests to travel between these parks and resort hotels, the Disney Skyliner is also a lot of fun. Here is a video from the opening day of the Disney Skyliner at the Walt Disney World Resort:
The Disney Skyliner opened on September 29, 2019. It is reminiscent of the old Skyway that was once found at Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, and also Tokyo Disneyland. All are no longer in operation at their respective parks. The Disney Skyliner now transports guests around Walt Disney World while also giving some beautiful views of the Walt Disney World Resort.
