For several years now the Plaza de la Familia has celebrated the everlasting bonds of family while also sharing the story of Disney-Pixar’s Coco! A highlight of this is A Musical Celebration of Coco which retells the story through song and dance and includes a puppet version of Miguel. As Miguel made his way to and from the show, guests would frantically snap pictures and event attempt to take selfies. This year, the Disneyland Resort will make taking pictures of, and with, Miguel so much easier.
As part of the celebration of Plaza de la Familia, guests will be able to meet Miguel this year! Miguel and his performer will be meeting with guests between the showings of A Musical Celebration at Coco near a beautiful new mural entitled “Recuérdame,” or Remember Me. Named after the main song of Coco, this mural will celebrate Miguel’s family both in Santa Cecilia and also in The Land of the Dead. It will also include themes shared by the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia in the show.
The Miguel meet and greet and all of Plaza de la Familia will be arriving at Disney California Adventure on September 6, 2019, and remain through November 3, 2019.
