At the D23 Expo last month, Disney Chairman of Parks, Products and Experiences Bob Chapek revealed the name of the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction that is currently being built at Epcot. He revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind would be a family-friendly “storytelling coaster.” Its vehicles will rotate 360 degrees and even have a reverse launch!
Now, Disney has revealed what the ride vehicles will look like. Take a look at the video below.
The video demonstrates how the ride vehicles will help direct where riders are to look throughout the attraction. This Omnicoaster will allow guests to experience different moments of storytelling in the attraction, rather than just speed on by.

At Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind the adventure will start in the “Galaxarium,” a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar. You’ll be invited to learn more about Xandar’s treasures – until the moment when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive, and adventures across the cosmos ensue.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be open at Epcot in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.
