“Awesome Planet” On-Screen Experience Coming to the Land Pavilion at Epcot in Walt Disney World Resort

Awesome Planet

As Epcot continues to grow and change, we get the opportunity to see many new things come to the park! Today, we are excited to announce that the Land pavilion is getting an all-new on-screen experience called “Awesome Planet”.

“Awesome Planet,” is an exploration of the world we call home. The film showcases the beauty, diversity and dynamic story of our earth with a touch of Disney Magic. Of course, Disney realizes just how important Epcot is to families around the globe, so the film has been carefully crafted to make new memories together.

With breathtaking nature photography, immersive in-theater effects, and space sequences created by none other than Industrial Light & Magic (which provided the cinematic foundation for the Star Wars franchise), “Awesome Planet” will stir Epcot guests and deliver an environmental message that will resonate far beyond its final scenes.

In true Disney fashion, this experience hints at the scope of the upcoming transformation of this amazing park. The new films lead a bold new era for a theme park that is distinctly Disney in its view of the earth, its lands, and its people. We are entirely thrilled about what is to come for Walt Disney World.
