Walt Disney World Resort Reaches Capacity at Magic Kingdom on New Year’s Eve [Updated]

The Magic Kingdom is the most popular place to be at the Walt Disney World Resort for New Year’s Eve this year. By 11:35, the Walt Disney World twitter was announcing that the Magic Kingdom was no longer accepting guests. Instead, it encouraged people to visit Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The update was pinned on the account’s twitter at the time of this writing.

The Walt Disney World Resort is an incredibly popular place to be for the New Year’s Eve celebration. There are celebrations throughout the Resort’s parks and also Disney Springs. For those who were unable to make it into the Magic Kingdom for tonight’s celebrations, #DisneyParksLIVE! is streaming the New Year’s Eve fireworks presentation, A Fantasy in the Sky.

For those braving Walt Disney World or the Disneyland Resorts, expect things to be very busy. Bring your patience and sense of adventure. The Disney Parks is one of the best places to be for New Year’s Eve, but it is also one of the busiest! Happy New Year’s!

Update: Later in the day, Walt Disney World Today tweeted that all the parks once again were admitting guests.
