Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse had a lot of exciting news this morning! As Bob Chapek, Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman, took the stage, he brought some exciting news about how Mickey Mouse will be changing the face of the parks!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Celebrate Disney’s Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary with Mickey Mouse! The new cinematic nighttime experience, “Wonderful World of Animation” will take guests on a journey of the last 90 years of Disney animation. The show will use state of the art projections to tell the heart-warming stories that we know and love from Disney. We can’t wait to see how this show takes shape!
Taking center stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Inspired by Disney Channel’s Emmy Award-winning “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts, the ride will take guests into a real-world experience with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The first ever Mickey Mouse attraction will earn a place in guests heart with a lovable new theme song that guest will be singing all day! We’ll see this attraction open in 2019.
Magic Kingdom Park
Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration will take shape at Magic Kingdom Park from Jan. 18 to Sept. 30, 2019. This magical event will feature new and exclusive food, merchandise and entertainment. Also taking to the park will be a new dance party that features Mickey, Minnie and the gang. We can’t wait to see what they’ve cooked up when it hits the streets of Magic Kingdom next year.
Disney Cruise Line
