Disney’s Paint the Night Parade is about to get more incredible. This parade of a million lights will get even more bright when a new Incredibles float joins the lineup. This new float will bring elements of both The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 when it floats through the night starting on June 23rd in Disney California Adventure. The Parr family will be joined by Frozone when it arrives.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, there will be multiple elements from The Incredibles showcased on this float. They will include:
- The Underminer will be facing off against the Parrs and Frozone as this float bridges the first and second movie.
- Violet will showcase her superpowers to surround herself with a force field. This will be accomplished with the first and largest persistence-of-vision (POV) globe to be installed on a Disney float in a parade.
- Dash will race around the float through the use of 64 individually lit frames as he zooms around the float!
- Mr. and Mrs. Incredible will showcase new Incredible suits, along with Frozone. These suits will be extra magical and be synced to the music as they light up the night.
- Super suits will be worn on this float, specially designed by Edna Mode, that will be covered with 100 sheets of flexible, miniature LEDs that will illuminate them. This will be the first time this type of outfit is worn by a Disney or Pixar character!
- New chest logos on the Incredibles will be lit by 60 LED lights. Each of these lights will be individually programmable.
The addition of this float to Disney’s Paint the Night Parade comes as a part of Pixar Fest. This will continue on through September 3rd. It will also be highlighted with the opening of Pixar Pier on June 23rd! On top of all of that, Incredibles 2 will be coming to theaters on Friday, June 15th!
