There are some changes coming to the way people park when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, specifically for the popular resort hotels. Guests staying overnight at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels will soon be charged to park overnight. This change will take place for guests booking rooms starting March 21st.
Prices will vary by the level of hotel that guests will be staying at. Here is a look at what the pricing structure will be:
- Value Resorts: $13 per night
- Moderate Resorts: $19 a night
- Deluxe Resorts: $24 a night
This policy change brings the Walt Disney World Resort hotels in line with industry standards a Disney spokesperson explained. It also catches the Walt Disney World Resort up with practices already taking place at the Disneyland Resort and at the Aulani resort in Hawaii.
Guests who are visiting hotels for dining or shopping will not be charged to park the spokesperson confirmed. Currently, parking for a day at one of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks is $22 for general parking. Preferred parking at the theme parks is $45. At Disney Springs, ESPN Zone, and the water parks parking will continue to be free.
