The Disney Home Store opened in Downtown Disney last week, and is a great addition, especially with a majority of World of Disney closed for refurbishment. Located in the old D-Street location, the store has been remodeled to a clean, white palette, full of Disney decor! I do wish the store was a larger size, but I love the idea and design of it all. Back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, Disney used to sell home goods in the Disney Store Catalog, and previously had home stores in the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. They went away with that for well over a decade to focus on kids merchandising, but are embarking on a resurgence of better merchandise, including home goods again. Here are the five best things about the new Disney Home Store.
It’s a One Stop Shop
Whether you need kitchen goods, home decor, or even coffee and tea, this is where you can get everything. I appreciate that there is a consolidated location for all of these items, instead of certain collections in limited stores. There is a vast array of items to find, any you’re guaranteed to find something perfect for your home, or a souvenir for anyone else at home!
The Entire Store is Coordinated by Theme
Are you looking for Minnie Items? Haunted Mansion? Mugs? All items in the store are coordinated by theme, which makes it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for! It also makes the store aesthetically pleasing.
The Store is Full of Decorating Inspiration
Every display in the store has some sort of practical home design which can be replicated. It’s all inspiration wherever you look, whether it be how to decorate a fireplace mantle, display plates or mugs, you can find ways to Disney-ify your space.
Are You a Foodie or a Coffee Lover?
You can find Disney cookbooks for every food fan, specialty chocolates, amongst other food items. It’s also a great place to find coffee for yourself, or a gift for friends. Just don’t forget to grab a new mug from the mug wall to go with your coffee purchase.
Even Pluto Gets a Special Section
Not only is there home decor, but toys and accessories for our four-legged friends. From leashes, to bowls, to chew toys, you can even get a souvenir for your pup too!
Overall, I love this store and I’m thrilled to have a place to get all decor and kitchen needs. I hope that they change it up every so often, and hopefully add new decor ideas. I would love to see it full of Christmas decor and inspiration closer to the holidays.
Have you had a chance to check out the new store? What is your favorite aspect of it?
Until next time,
