At the D23 Expo this weekend, it was announced that one of the most beloved family films – “The Lion King” – will be joining the Walt Disney Signature Collection. The highly celebrated and Academy Award® winning feature will arrive on Digital on Aug. 15 and on Blu-ray and DVD on Aug. 29.
Fans will be enchanted by the classic all over again, while an entirely new generation of fans will sing, dance, and find their place in the “Circle of Life” with Simba. The Walt Disney Signature Collection release will include over three hours of features from the classic film, and all-new never before seen features from observing recording sessions, to joining Matthew Broderick (voice of Adult Simba) and Nathan Lane (voice of Timon) for an in-depth look at the legacy “The Lion King” has left.
I wanna see Disney do a 25th Anniversary Edition of “The Lion King” on 4K HD, Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital HD in 2019 with all the bonus features from the Signature Collection and even a bonus disc for the 2019 live-action reboot of “The Lion King” with some behind the scenes content, some sneak peeks of the film, some trailers for the film and even a gallery of posters for the film as well as a bonus disc for the Tony-Winning Broadway Musical of “The Lion King”!
