Disney Parks Blog Announces Shanghai Disney Resort Opening Date

Shanghai Disney Resort

We have some pretty exciting news! Disney Parks Blog just announced that on June 16, 2016, Shanghai Disney Resort will open its gates to the public for the first time. The highly anticipated resort is only a few months away from opening.

This brand new resort will feature a variety of attractions, shows and entertainment. Also, not to forget, the resort will open two hotels, a recreation area and plenty more!

The theme park itself will house six themed lands, one including Treasure Cove (first ever pirate themed land). To top it off, this park will be home to the largest Disney Park castle.

Disney CEO Bob Iger said, “When it opens in June, Shanghai Disney resort will be a one-of-a-kind, world-class destination that is authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese. The resort reflects Disney’s legendary storytelling along with China’s rich culture, and showcases some of the most creative and innovative experiences we’ve ever created. We’re looking forward to showing it to the world and sharing it with the people of China for generations to come.”

Stay tuned for more news on Shanghai Disney Resort.
