The Force Was Strong in Downtown Disney for Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Viewing

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Star Wars: The Force AwakensThe Force was strong in Downtown Disney for the release of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. Hundreds showed up, bringing with them their lightsabers, to watch this long awaited trailer with other Disney and Star Wars fans. A DJ was on hand for this event that took place during halftime of Monday Night Football on ESPN.  Some fans delayed entry into Mickey’s Halloween Party to watch it first. Others sacrificed prime viewing space to hop into line at AMC Theaters to be one of the first to purchase a ticket the moment the trailer was over.

Shortly after seven, the trailer was played around the world and tickets went on sale. Websites crashed all evening (even before the trailer was released) as they struggled to accommodate the demand.

Watch the crowd view the trailer here:

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be arriving in theaters on December 18, 2015. While tickets appear to sold out for the opening night before, there are still some available for the 18th… for now.

When and where will you be Star Wars: The Force Awakens?
