Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is off to a good start. In fact, it is good enough to stick around for an entire season. After just airing three episodes, ABC has picked up Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the entire 22 episode season. Joss Whedon’s TV drama that continues the story of Agent Coulson was highly anticipated this fall and it’s opening night delivered the highest ratings for a new drama in four years.
Rather than just answering the questions left unanswered at the end of Marvel’s The Avengers, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. instead has brought more questions to the forefront. Primarily, how is Agent Phil Coulson alive? What is really going on with Skye? Can there be the sparks of love while flying aboard a giant airplane trying to protect the world from unknown science and superheroes (or super-villains)?
Regardless of the questions not being answered, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has continued the story of the Marvel universe in a very believable way. It also has continued to build of heroes coming together from very different backgrounds to create a team that is stronger because of their differences.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Tuesday nights on ABC and can also be found on Hulu.
