Since being announced, there have been lots of questions about the Oriental Land Company’s cruise venture. In a financial report that was released this week, the company behind Tokyo Disney Resort revealed its plans for its future cruise ship and line. The report details where the ship will sail from, for how long, approximate pricing, and also details about the ship itself. This will be the first ship that will be a part of Oriental Land Cruise, also known as Disney Cruise Line Japan.

In the financial report that looks towards the future, the following details were shared about this yet-to-be-named ship:

• Cruises will mainly depart from Tokyo International Cruise Terminal
• Cruises will be 2-4 night short-term cruises
• Prices range from ¥100,000 to ¥300,000 (price for the most common guest rooms)
• The target demographic is families, the younger generation, and international travelers
• The ship will be based on the Disney Wish with some elements adapted for the Japanese market
• Will go into service in 2029
• Its registry is currently planned to be Japan
• Its tonnage will be approximately 140,000 gross tons
• The capacity is approximately 4,000 people
  • 1,250 rooms
  • 1,500 crew members
• It is expected that this ship will require a ¥290 billion investment with a ¥40 billion contingency fund

Along with building this new ship, the Oriental Land Company revealed that it would consider a second ship. The report states:

The launch of a second ship will be considered when the first ship is successfully on track
