New Orleans Square is a Party as “New Orleans Bayou Bash” Arrives at Disneyland

DAPs Magic Disney News – by Mr. DAPs

The streets and river’s edge came alive this morning as the New Orleans Bayou Bash arrived in full force with jazz music, characters, colored beads, food, and more. The New Orleans Bayou Bash will be at Disneyland every weekend from New Orleans Bash at DisneylandFebruary 10 through March 11, 2012. The festivities will also continue on February 20 and 21 for the Presidents’ Day holidays. For each of these days, there will be exciting things happening between 10 AM and 5 PM.

Throughout the day characters can be found at the Court of Angels where you can meet and take photos with Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Mickey and Minnie, Chip and Dale, and of course Goofy.

Special menu items have also been added to the offerings at both Cafe Orleans and the French Market. There are also special locations with face painting and other themed merchandise and snacks to be found the area.

The highlights of the festivities take place on a stage that is set up along the Rivers of America. With the Mark Twain often in the background, it is a perfect place to celebrate all that is New Orleans. Throughout each day of the New Orleans Bayou Bash, Princess Tiana’s Mardi Gras Celebration performs in this picturesque location. When Tiana, Naveen, Louie and company aren’t on the stage, one of the many great jazz bands at Disneyland can be found playing the day away and throwing beads to happy audiences.
