Three Caballeros Coming to DuckTales in Season Two!

Disney made its second appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. For DuckTales fans, this was a very good thing! Producers Matt Youngberg and Francisco Angones shared with the crowd that the Three Caballeros are coming to DuckTales! This trio will come together during the second season of this reboot of a Disney Afternoon classic.

The Three Caballeros originated in 1941 in a movie of the same name by Walt Disney. Donald Duck goes on a tour through Latin America. There he teams up with a parrot named Jose and a rooster named Panchito. Together they go on a musical adventure through seven segments of the movie. This is a movie that utilizes the combination of both live-action and animated storytelling. This is a technique that would later be utilized in Mary Poppins.

DuckTales is obviously completely animated. In their season two appearance, Jose and Panchito will show up to see Donald Duck. Jose will be voiced by Bernardo de Paula and Panchito by Arturo del Puerto. Tony Anselmo continues to voice Donald Duck. In this iteration of DuckTales, Donald as a much bigger role and appears regularly.

The appearance of Jose and Panchito will be coming sometime in season two. Season one of DuckTales will conclude on August 18th. It can currently be found on the DisneyNOW app or on the Disney Channel.
