Temperatures in and around the Disneyland Resort recently have been quite warm. With temperatures hovering around triple digits, operations have changed for some entertainment. This includes the Disneyland Band, which has been seen playing in the shade of Town Square on several very warm days. Instead of playing in front of Main Street Station in Town Square, the band has moved to a shady part of Town Square with the sun behind them.
The Daps Magic team happened upon one of these performances recently and took the following videos of its performances. Due to the heat, the full performance was not recorded to avoid having a phone overheat (yes, the phone was quite hot). Take a look at these two videos here:
Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort on a hot day might notice other changes for entertainment. This could mean characters are found in places that help them avoid the direct sun, shorter times for performers outside, or even outright cancellation of some performances. Please bring patience (and water) on hot days at the Disneyland Resort. Disney goes to great lengths to make sure both guest and cast members remain safe, even from the heat. This sometimes comes at the cost of some magical offerings.
If impacted by changes in offerings due to heat, use these changes as an opportunity to hydrate and retreat from the sun. Recent temperatures could really hamper a happy and healthy day in the parks if not taken seriously. Daps Magic has a guide for going to Disneyland Resort on a hot day that can be found here:
