Movie Nights at Downtown Disney presented by Honda will continue this Wednesday night. This is the second year that these have been offered. They have proven to be quite popular with both guests at the Disneyland Resort hotels and locals who make the trek for these films.
The next Halloween-themed movie coming to Movie Nights at Downtown Disney presented by Honda is Descendants: The Rise of Red, which was released on Disney+ on July 12, 2024. The movie made its Disney Channel premiere on August 9, 2024. This is the film is the fourth installment in the Descendants franchise. Descendants: The Rise of Red tells the story of the Queen of Hearts inciting a coup in Auradon, as her rebellious daughter, Red, and Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter, Chloe, must team up and travel in time to undo the traumatic event that drove a young Queen of Hearts to villainy.
Descendants: The Rise of Red broke a record in its debut on Disney+ as Disney Branded Television’s most-viewed premiere ever on the platform. It became the most-streamed live-action original movie on Disney+ since Hocus Pocus 2.
Descendants: The Rise of Red will be shown Wednesday, September 16 at 7:00 pm at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage & Lawn.
