There were many panels with many magical moments to be enjoyed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. One of these was Beauty and the Beast: A Tale as Old as Time. This panel celebrated the 35th anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Beauty and the Beast. This panel was hosted by Ashley Eckstein with panelists Mark Henn, Don Hahn, Paige O’Hara & Alan Menken. They were joined later on by original Broadway Belle Susan Egan and current Belle on Broadway Kyra Belle Johnson.

Throughout the course of this panel, there are conversations about the production of the film and the challenges it faced. They also discussed casting, animation, and Howard Ashman. The discussion also covered other parts of production and showed some rare studio footage. As things moved forward, the panel moved on to Broadway.
