“The Disney Legends Award is the highest honor our company can bestow,” Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro shared during the opening of the Disney Legends Ceremony. This comes on a day when a class of 11 new Disney Legends is inducted into this illustrious academy. While the Disney Legends ceremony today is public and being shared around the globe on Disney+, there was an earlier ceremony with another very special honor bestowed. This took place before Disneyland opened. During this ceremony, former Disney CEO and incoming Disney Legend Bob Iger was honored with a window on Main Street, USA.

The window can be found in a prominent window of the Emporium that can be seen as guests enter The Happiest Place on Earth. Main Street, USA window dedications go to those who have made profound and lasting contributions to the Disney parks. During Bob Iger’s nearly 2 decades at the helm of The Walt Disney Company, his imprint could be found in parks around the world. This includes the Disneyland Resort. It is very fitting that after all of his dedication and investment in the parks, he is honored in this way.
The Disneyland Resort shared the following picture of this new honor that fans can see when they visit Disneyland starting today. Check it out here:

The Disney Legends Ceremony took place on the afternoon of the third day of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Daps Magic will be providing coverage of this very special day of honors for these very special people.
