This summer, the Disneyland Resort wrapped up its 70th anniversary celebration. However, it continued to celebrate the collaboration between The Happiest Place on Earth and the place it calls home, Anaheim. On August 27th, the Disneyland Resort followed the 70 Happiest Hours in Anaheim initiative in 2025 with the Happiest Day in Anaheim! This was a day full of Disney magic that was shared throughout the city. It included surprise events (including visits from favorite Disney friends), uniquely Disney parties at local community centers, and a whole lot more. This is the type of celebration that only Disney can bring to life and only happens in a place like Anaheim. This is due to the unique and deep relationship between the Disneyland Resort and Anaheim.
There were quite a few fun things that were a part of the Happiest Day in Anaheim. Leading up to the day, there were surprise visits from representatives of the Disneyland Resort as they made treat stops throughout the city. Over the course of a month, over 2,000 residents throughout the city were greeted with some sort of Disney magic. There were visits that stopped by community centers and events throughout Anaheim.
On August 27th, to kick off the Happiest Day in Anaheim, 125 senior citizens were surprised with an incredible Disney celebration at the Ponderosa Family Resource Center. This ultimate Disney celebration included a morning of yoga with Goofy, crafts with Disney VoluntEARS, bingo, and other activities and surprises. On top of this, the Disneyland Resort provided additional libraries and community centers with supplies needed to create their own Disney celebrations.

Danbrook Elementary School
At Danbrook Elementary School, over 400 students were welcomed by Disney VoluntEARS who put on a Disney-inspired field day. This included themed adventure areas with games, music, and more. On top of that, each student also received a Disney swag bag. These were filled with several surprises like Mickey Ears and a Mickey crispy treat. For the 75 staff members at the school, a complimentary Disneyland Resort ticket was given to thank them for all they do. Each teacher and faculty were given a ticket for themselves and a guest.

Main Street on Your Street
In the evening, the signature event took place. This was called Main Street on Your Street. Nearly 2,000 Anaheim residents were invited to enjoy some of the favorite elements of Main Street, U.S.A., in their own neighborhood. This event included performances by the Pearly Band with Mary Poppins and Bert, photo ops with the Disneyland Resort Fire Engine, crafts, favorite Mickey Mouse treats, and more. There were also Disney characters on hand, including Miguel from Pixar’s Coco and Mirabel from Disney’s Encanto. On top of that, the Fab Five also showed up to greet the thousands of attendees and bring added Disney magic as residents made memories that will last a lifetime.

Dedication to Community
The Disneyland Resort continues to show its dedication to the city of Anaheim by being a “source of joy and inspiration” not just for those who enter its gates, but also for those who live just outside of them. The Happiest Day in Anaheim is just one example of the many ways that Disney does this. Throughout the year, there are many other things that happen to contribute to and invest in the local community. This includes volunteerism, special experiences, cash and in-kind donations totaling tens of millions of dollars each year, and more. For over seven decades, the Disneyland Resort has created lasting memories for families throughout Orange County. This is a tradition that the Disneyland Resort remains dedicated to continuing well into the future.
