Disney Cruise Line New Class of Ship

Disney Reveals Details About New Class of Disney Cruise Line Ship

There are a lot of exciting things that came out of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. For Disney Cruise Line fans, a couple of reveals came out of Horizons: A Carousel of Progress on Saturday night during the Disney fan event. First, there was a reveal surrounding the Disney Believe. This gave a look at which character will inspire the Grand Hall, the characters on the stern, and also the filigree design. It looks magical!

Along with revealing the information about the Disney Believe, Disney also shared details about the new class of ship that will be joining this fleet. This is part of the expansion of the fleet to 13 ships by 2030. This is a timeline that was recently accelerated. Details about this new class of ship were revealed by Claire Weiss, who joined host Neal Patrick Harris on the stage.

While many of the details remain to be revealed, Clair Weiss did share some things about these three new ships. The new class to the fleet will occupy a unique place in Disney Cruise Line’s expanding offerings. It will be positioned in size between Disney’s classic ships and its newer vessels. This will open Disney Cruise Line up to exciting possibilities for future itineraries and experiences around the globe.

Claire Weiss explained that these ships will be “right in the middle of our classic ships and our newer ones. That gives us some amazing opportunities to visit new places and reach brand new audiences we haven’t before.” This means that this new class of ship will be smaller than the Disney Wish and bigger than the Disney Wonder.

This new size will give Disney Cruise Line increased flexibility as it continues to expand globally. As it does this, it brings unforgettable vacations and destinations to families as they are welcomed aboard the trip of a lifetime. Disney promises that more details will be revealed about these ships and their destinations at a later date. However, a teaser was released that shows the new ship. It can be seen here:

Along with Disney Cruise Line expanding to 13 ships, the Oriental Land Company is starting up its own expansion into the cruise industry in the form of Disney Cruise Line Japan. This ship will also be a Wish-class ship. Below is a look at the current lineup in the fleet:
