U.S. Air Force Soars Over Walt Disney World for 4th of July

On the morning of the 4th of July, the aircraft from the U.S. Air Force Reserve 920th Rescue Wing flew over the Walt Disney World Resort. This special Independence Day flyover saw the aircraft based out of Patrick Space Force Base in Florida soaring over the Magic Kingdom and then EPCOT. This was an exciting and powerful tribute to the United States of America and those who serve.

The flyover took place as the USA celebrated its 250th anniversary. The Walt Disney Company has joined in the festivities with its Disney Celebrates America initiative. This particular event was meant to honor the military heroes who have served the nation since its founding in 1776.

The flyover was a beautiful combination of Disney magic, coupled with mission readiness and precision of the U.S. Air Force. Ahead of the flyover, Airmen had the opportunity to meet with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Mickey and Minnie debuted their new patriotic attire as part of Disney Celebrates America’s 250th anniversary.

In the parks, guests eagerly sought out vantage points to see the aircraft fly over Walt Disney World Resort. The parks were quite popular with guests hoping for that perfect view. Friend of Daps Magic, Tracy, took the following video of the flyover from Magic Kingdom after quite a wait to get to the park.
