A new version of The Mickey Mouse Club is on the way. Deadline is reporting that Disney+ has ordered a pilot for the third iteration of the show. This reboot will include a whole new crop of Mouseketeers.
The new Mouseketeers for the pilot include Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, and Brooklynn Pitts, who are all in Camp Rock 3. They will be joined by Erianthe Akaata (Young Rock), Scarlett London Diviney (The Lion King), Michael Cash (Black Rabbit), Yonas Kibreab (Elio), Varonica Mitchell, Kauani, Scarlett Grace Petty, and Carter Barnes.
A statement from Disney says that this new series will be a “showcase for today’s most talented young performers, where music, innovation, and self-expression take center stage.”
Fullwell Entertainment co-founder Ben Winston is the executive producer for the pilot. Winston was previously an executive producer for The Late Late Show with James Corden. Winston is also serving as creative director for LA28. He will be joined by Ashley Edems, who was an executive producer for Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney. Emma Conway and Dave Piendak will also be executive producers. Production on the pilot is set to begin this month in Los Angeles.

Walt Disney created the original version of The Mickey Mouse Club. It was a stage show initially in the 1920s and then became a television show that ran on ABC between 1955 and 1959. In the years since, it has been rebooted multiple times in the 70s and again in 1989-1996 as The All New Mickey Mouse Club. The latter version introduced the world to many Mouseketeers who became major stars. This included names like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, and Keri Russell. The most recent iteration of the series was in 2017’s Club Mickey Mouse, which was developed for digital platforms.
At this point, more specifics about this reboot haven’t been announced by Disney. This could include the length of the show, formats, and how many episodes are in a potential season.
