On Sunday, July 12, 2026, the Disneyland Resort allowed guests to enter with evening tickets for the first time. The tickets sold out fairly quickly and allow guests to enter either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure five hours before closing. This meant that on Sunday night, that evening ticket holders could enter Disney California Adventure at 5:00 PM and Disneyland at 7:00 PM.

Before the 7:00 PM evening ticket opening, Daps Magic team member Roger stopped by the entrance of Disneyland to see how many evening ticket holders would be waiting to enter. About half an hour before the ticket time, a couple of dozen guests could be seen waiting near the entrance. Shortly before 7:00 PM, the numbers had grown. In the following video that Roger shot, guests can be seen waiting to enter at approximately 6:50 PM. By 6:55 PM, Disney cast members began welcoming guests with evening tickets into the park.

Throughout the evening, the wait times in the park didn’t seem to be significantly impacted by the additional guests. In the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see how the evening ticket impacts the parks. The Disneyland Resort evening tickets will be in effect through August 5, 2026. During this time, the evening tickets are valid only on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. It is unknown how many of these special tickets were sold per night.
