There were a lot of things to experience at the Disneyland Resort during the 4th of July weekend. This Independence Day was particularly special as it commemorated the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Disney joined in on the fun with the Disney Celebrates America initiative. This included military bands, fireworks, a cavalcade, and much more. It also saw Soarin’ Across America open in Disney California Adventure on July 2nd.

A highlight for many fans at the Disneyland Resort during the weekend was the 1st Marine Division Band and its breakout groups. This included two groups that performed in the Downtown Disney District on the evening of July 5th. They were the 1st Marine Division Diamondbacks & Old Breed Brass Band. Both bands brought energy and a whole lot of fun to the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage. Throughout the evening, their performances also motivated guests to sing along and dance the night away. Below is a look at performances from each band during this special evening.

The 1st Marine Division Band had also performed in Avengers Campus and in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle earlier in the day. They also participated in the Patriotic Flag Retreat on the 4th of July. Other bands were performing throughout the week as well.
