Dodgers Star Mookie Betts Joining Voice Cast of ‘Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends’

Dodgers Tar Mookie Betts and Alan Ruck will be joining the vocal cast of Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends. This comes ahead of the arrival of new episodes of the series arriving on June 11th on Disney Jr. (7:00 a.m. EDT/PDT) and Disney Jr. on Demand, with 11 episodes available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets the next day, Friday, June 12. 

The new episodes will begin with a Giant-Sized Armor story arc. This will find the Iron Friends taking on even bigger challenges and bring them face-to-face with a new lineup of heroes and baddies, including Thor, Loki, and Odin. Disney announced new guest stars for the series that include Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts as Dizzy Doubleday, a baseball player who loves to help young kids learn the game. He will be joining guest star ESPN sportscaster and analyst Jessica Mendoza, who will bring Dottie Doubleday to life vocally. She is Dizzy’s sister and the owner of the local batting cage. Alan Ruck is voicing Odin, the might and kind ruler of Asgard.

Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends Official Description

 “Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends” follows the adventures (and misadventures) of best friends and super geniuses Tony Stark, Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho as they work together to solve problems, both big and small, and protect their city. 

This series stars Mason Blomberg and Lincoln Bonilla as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Kapri Ladd as Riri Williams (Ironheart), Aidyn Ahn as Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk), Tony Hale as Ultron, Vanessa Bayer as Swarm, and Talon Warburton as Absorbing Man. From Disney Branded Television, the series is executive-produced by Sean Coyle and Harrison Wilcox. James Eason-Garcia is co-executive producer and story editor, Alex Cichon is supervising producer, Ashley Rideout is producer, and Michael Dowding is supervising director. Matthew Margeson is the series’ composer. GRAMMY Award-nominated musician Mark Hoppus wrote and performed the series theme song, Totally Awesome. The series is produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons.
