The Disney Parks are celebrating Halfway to the Holidays. As part of this summer celebration, holiday announcements are being made for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. A bulk of the announcements today were centered around the happenings at Walt Disney World Resort. However, the Disneyland Resort shared about the return of multiple holiday overlays that will be returning to the Happiest Place on Earth! Below is a rundown of what is known to be returning to the Disneyland Resort this holiday season!
“it’s a small world” Holiday
A beloved holiday favorite since 1997, it’s a small world Holiday will be returning to Disneyland. This overlay sees plenty of Christmas lights added to the attraction, both outside and in. It also showcases the variety of different holiday traditions that are found around the world as guests cruise along the Seven Seaways canal. All of this happens as Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls join the classic it’s a small world tune.
Haunted Mansion Holiday
Haunted Mansion Holiday returns for Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort and will stick around through the holidays. Each year, Jack Skellington wrecks the halls as he brings his own version of Christmas from Halloween Time to the Haunted Mansion. A highlight each year is seeing what the Gingerbread House will be in the ballroom. It not only looks great, but also smells amazing!
This is a fan favorite that last year got even better, with the upgrading of the Oogie Boogie Audio-Animatronic.
Cars Land in Disney California Adventure
In Disney California Adventure’s Cars Land, the residents of Radiator Springs have gotten into the spirit of the season and decorated their beautiful community. This sees the town come alive with decorations, two holiday attraction overlays, and holiday music playing throughout the land.
Mater’s Jingle Jamboree
Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree gets into the spirit of the season as guests spin around on Mater’s loveable tow trucks. While they spin, they get to hear a collection of seasonal tunes that include Mater’s signature humor and original lyrics.
Throughout the queue, quests will find festive elements and Easter Eggs. As tractors spin and swing around the yard, garland, lights, and decor transform the surroundings into a true holiday hoedown.
Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl
Over in the corner of Radiator Springs, Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters join in the holiday fun and become Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl. For this version of the attraction, Luigi and his extended family are celebrating the season in style with festive dances to tunes that are sung by Luigi himself.
This is a holiday classic that is a lot of fun as guests go for a holiday drive in style!
Holiday Decor and More Across Disneyland Resort
Many more holiday offerings are coming to the Disneyland Resort. This includes holiday decorations that will be found throughout each land. In Adventureland, keep an eye out for the skipper-inspired tree near the exit of the Jungle Cruise. There will also be tiny pieces of garland that can be spotted while cruising on the Storybook Land Canal Boats. Over on Main Street, as guests enter and exit the park, wreaths can be found on the backside of some of the Main Street Vehicles that add to the rest of the decorations that can be found in the area.
More announcements will be made in the future about other Holiday offerings at the Disneyland Resort. This is just the start. Daps Magic will share these details as they are announced!
