Daps Magic is committed to providing coverage to all entities and studios under the Disney umbrella. This will include content that isn’t necessarily family-friendly, such as the content reviewed below.
This past March, I reviewed Ready or Not 2: Here I Come during its theatrical release. I enjoyed it enough that when asked to review the home release, I couldn’t say no! I will admit, before I dive into my thoughts on the bonus features, I’d pick this release up anyway. So, take that for what it’s worth.
In Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, “moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.”

The bonus features for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come are primarily the standard fare from studio releases. “The Game Goes On: The Making of Ready or Not” is the star of the show here. Sadly, it’s only around 15 minutes long. Given the lore of the films, the great ensemble cast, etc. I kind of hoped for more. I loved learning about their use of practical effects in the final scene. It’s pretty mind-blowing to consider that 100 gallons of fake blood were used in just one scene! If I’m honest, I wish major studio releases would go back to the earlier days of DVDs and Blu-rays and expand on their bonus features rather than giving folks the bare minimum.
Overall, I think Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is a strong enough film on its own to justify picking up a home release. In terms of bonus features, I was left wanting a bit more than the tease that was offered. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is now available on Digital and will release on Blu-ray™ & DVD June 16th.
