Disneyland Resort to Drop 11:00 AM Park Hopping Time in June

Earlier this spring, the Disneyland Resort revealed that the requirement that guests wait until 11:00 AM would be going away. An exact time when this would be happening wasn’t known. Now a date has been assigned to this goal. On June 9th, guests with Park Hopper tickets or Magic Keys will no longer have to wait until 11:00 AM to park hop.

The change to this parking hopping rule is subject to the availability of the park. After all, parks can get full at times! This is the newest update to Park Hopping since the Disneyland Resort added its reservation system. Initially, Park Hopping wasn’t allowed before 1:00 PM. This was eventually updated to allow guests with park-hopping tickets or Magic Keys to switch parks at 11:00 AM. Starting on June 9, 2026, guests will be able to Park Hop after entering whichever park they have reservations for.

The announcement of the elimination of the 11:00 AM park hopping time came after discussion by former Disneyland Resort President Thomas Mazloum and his team. Since then, Jill Estorino has taken on the role after Mazloum was promoted to Disney Experiences Chairman. While Mazloum was at the Disneyland Resort, he worked on ways to make the guest experience the best it possibly could be. This continues as he has moved on to his new role. Mazloum believed that the key to success with this was making many small changes and focusing on the fundamentals.

During the discussion in February, Mazloum said, “As we celebrate 70 years of the Disneyland Resort, we’re also building for the future by focusing on the relevancy and quality of our product – simplifying the guest experience and bringing exciting new attractions and entertainment to The Happiest Place on Earth.”

Mazloum shared how he and his team had been looking at all of the different parts of the Disneyland Resort. This ranged from the growth of the resort and its new attractions, hospitality, reliability, accessibility for families, and a whole lot more. The wide-ranging conversation shared about his philosophy, priorities, principles, and focus as he led the Disneyland Resort forward. Now he leads all of Disney Experiences forward, and presumably, many of these thoughts and initiatives will be carried with him in his new role.

The decision to drop the 11:00 park hopping rule is one of many initiatives that the Disneyland Resort is unveiled in efforts to make the Disney experience the best it can be. Another way was by keeping Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! open throughout 2026. This came out of the recognition of the need for the family-friendly attraction to be available for young families. This summer, the Disneyland Resort is also hosting the Kids Rule Summer promotion. The Disneyland Resort is clearly focusing on making The Happiest Place on Earth continue to be happy for all ages, particularly those with kids. Deals can be found at Disneyland.com/offers.

After this special meeting with Thomas Mazloum and his team, Daps Magic posted the following podcast with thoughts on where the Disneyland Resort was going under Mazloum’s leadership. With Mazloum now leading from a higher position in the company, these themes presumably will continue to be true:
