Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game has a new set coming that will bring some favorite Pixar stories to Disney Lorcana TCG for the first time. This comes after the release of the Winterspell set. This new set will be called Wilds Unknown and will include Pixar’s Toy Story, Brave, and The Incredibles. It will be available for prerelease on May 8, 2026, along with being in game stores and select Disney Parks and stores. This will be followed by a general release on May 15th.

“The addition of glimmers of characters from Pixar films is one of the most exciting moments in the ongoing story of the Disney Lorcana TCG,” said Elaine Chase, Head of Category for Trading Card Games at Ravensburger. “Everyone has fond memories of growing up with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the toys, reliving the adventures of the Parr family, joining forces against the Omnidroids, and watching as Merida embarks on a journey where she forges her own path. Now fans can have fun collecting those cards and create decks to play together with family and friends.”

There will be some exciting things to look forward to with this Wilds Unknown set. They include:

• Full-art cards known as Enchanted cards with art themed to the set, some of the rarer cards for players and collectors to find.
• These cards will feature an Art Nouveau-inspired art style dubbed Lore Nouveau (to capture the feeling of discovering new areas in the realm of Lorcana)
• The art style will also be depicted in the rarest cards of the sets, known as Iconics.
• Iconics will feature full-art and additional foil treatments.
• Merdia – Formidable Archer and Buzz Lightyear – Jungle Ranger are the two Iconic cards in Wilds Unknown.

“Working with artists on each Disney Lorcana TCG card is a real thrill. We all have such a strong connection to these characters and applying the themes of working together to travel through these fantastic locales is enlightening,” said Anna Stosik, Art Director for Disney Lorcana TCG at Ravensburger. “I think the Lore Nouveau style looks fantastic. The artists and card art directors put a ton of love and thought into these compositions and it’s wonderful to see the familiar Disney characters in this new and unexpected way!”

To bring these Pixar characters to life for Lorcana, the Ravensburger team worked with product designers at Pixar Animation Studios. This includes Buzz Lightyear – Jungle Ranger, incorporating narrative, design, and new art. The excitement won’t stop with Wilds Unknown, however. Attack of the Vine! prereleases at game stores on July 17, 2026, before being available everywhere on July 24th. Glimmers of Pixar’s Boo, Mike Wazowski, and James P. Sullivan (Sulley) from Monsters, Inc. will be making their debut as Illumineers with this set.

The story arc will reach its peak this fall with a new product called Illumineer’s Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue. This will continue what has been done in previous Illumineer’s Quests as players team up to weed out the threat in this cooperative Disney Lorcana TCG experience. With four levels of difficulty, there will be both surprises and replayability for players that will ramp up the challenge. The all-in-one package will include expertly crafted components and beautifully crafted components in these curated decks to work together against the vine. Illumineer’s Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue will release in October 2026 at an MSRP of $59.99. There will be more information released during Gen Con 2026, Ravensburger shared.

After Attack of the Vine!, the Q4 2026 will include glimmers from Pixar’s Coco and take place in the fantastical metropolis of Hyperia City. This will be followed by quests of yore and more in early 2027.

Ahead of the Wilds Unknown release, fans can look forward to more card previews online. There will also be the debut of the Disney Lorcana TCG Prerelease Box in game stores starting on May 8th. Each box will contain six booster packs, one of six random promo cards, and other goodies for showing off the story and theme. Prerelease Boxes will only be available at local game stores. It is suggested that fans sign up now on the RPH for this prerelease experience.

Wilds Unknown will be available everywhere on May 15 and preorders are now open at online retailers everywhere.
