Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort recently have seen work happening at the future home of Porto’s Bakery and Cafe. This is at the Esplanade end of Downtown Disney District. Recently, including today, demolition has been happening on the former home of the Earl of Sandwich (and before that La Brea Bakery). This comes after the demolition of two ticket booths that one stood nearby.

Daps Magic team member stopped by the Disneyland Resort on Tuesday and took the following photos of the demolition work. The location had been sitting with not much seemingly happening there for quite some time. Now, it appears that things are moving forward full steam.

There isn’t an opening date announced for the future Porto’s in Downtown Disney District at this time. This is just one of many changes that are coming to Downtown Disney District and the Disneyland Resort. Downtown Disney District is in the midst of a substantial transformation that has seen many businesses being changed or replaced in the last few years. There are still many enhancements coming to Downtown Disney District, including the permanent home of the Earl of Sandwich.

It is an exciting time for Disney fans as the Disneyland Resort continues to grow and expand with the Downtown Disney District transformation, new attractions on the horizon, and even a new parking lot and entrance experience on the East side of the resort.
