Reopening Date for Disneyland’s ‘it’s a small world’ Changed Again

The reopening date for it’s a small world has been changed again. After originally being scheduled to open in April, the opening date was moved to May 9th. Today, the reopening date is now May 13, 2025. This comes after the attraction has been down since it closed after its annual holiday run with it’s a small world Holiday overlay.

When it’s a small world reopens, the attraction will be updated with new characters in it. Miguel and his trusted alebrije, Dante, will both be joining the other children in song when it’s a small world reopens. The duo will be silhouetted by a stunning marigold bridge as guests sail by. Concept art for what this looks like was shared by Disney:

This won’t be the only change for it’s a small world this year. On July 17th, a third verse to the legendary song will be added to the attraction. Written by Richard Sherman before his death, these lyrics were first revealed during Jolly Holiday: A Musical Celebration of Richard M. Sherman at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

Here is a look at it’s a small world as it was seen before being transformed to it’s a small world Holiday in 2024.
