Thunderbolts* will be making its arrival in theaters on Friday, May 2, 2025. As the whole team hits the silver screen, Red Guardian will also be making his way to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. The news was announced on social media by official Disneyland Resort channels with the following post:
Red Guardian first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Black Widow. His real name is Alexei Shostakov. He was the Soviet Union’s answer to Captain America. He was enhanced with a super-soldier serum that gave him enhanced strength and durability. In the 1990s, he and fellow spy Melina Vostokoff posed as a family in Ohio with Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) and Yelena Belova, part of a covert operation for the Red Room.
After completing their mission, Alexei was imprisoned by the Russian government for becoming a liability. Decades later, he is broken out of prison by Natasha and Yelena to help them take down the Red Room and its leader, General Dreykov.
At this point, when exactly Red Guardian will show up at Avengers Campus is unknown. All that is known that he will be arriving on May 2, 2025 at the Disneyland Resort. Daps Magic will continue to follow the arrival of Red Guardian and provide photos and video once he has showed up!
