There will be lots of magical experiences to be had during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. There will be new entertainment, food, merchandise, and even a guided tour! There will also be new interactions for guests to use their MagicBand+ to activate.
Starting with the celebration on May 16, 2025, MagicBand+ will be able to interact with five locations throughout Disneyland. At each of these locations, a MagicBand+ (be sure to charge it before you head to the park!) will unlock a special moment. For each of these stops, guests will be able to tap their MagicBand+ to open the interactions and effects that are inspired by some of the park’s opening-day attractions. This will add a little more nostalgia to the milestone celebration.
5 Magical Locations
The specific five locations will be found on the map on the Disneyland App. They include:
- Tilly’s Booth at Main Street Cinema
- Frontierland Booth at Silver Spur Supplies (celebrating The Golden Horseshoe, the Mark Twain Riverboat, and the Disneyland Railroad)
- Fantasyland Window by Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (celebrating the Snow White attraction, Mad Tea Party, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Peter Pan’s Flight, and King Arthur Carrousel)
- Skipper Lockers at Jungle Cruise in Adventureland
- Autopia in Tomorrowland
How It Works
First off, you will need a MagicBand+. If you don’t have one yet, they can be purchased throughout the Disneyland Resort or online at the Disney Store. Be sure to charge it ahead of using it so that it will activate these magical moments. Once you have a charged MagicBand+, here is what you’ll do:
- Begin the journey by visiting any of the 5 designated locations in Disneyland Park.
- Unlock surprises by tapping your MagicBand+ to special touch points. Your MagicBand+ will respond with custom light effects, music and sounds unique to the attractions.
- Unlock all 5 interactions to commemorate your celebration.
Before You Go
- Be sure to charge your MagicBand+.
- Link your Magicband+ to your Disney account.
- Be sure to have theme park reservations and valid admission to visit Disneyland.
- Visit Guest Services or MagicBand+ kiosks for troubleshooting or assistance during your visit.
More Magic With MagicBand+
There will also be other ways to utilize your MagicBand+ for magical moments during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. MagicBand+ will interact with nighttime offerings like Paint the Night, World of Color Happiness!, Tapestry of Happiness, and Woundrous Journeys.
