On this day in 2015, King Triton’s Concert debuted in the Mermaid Lagoon at Tokyo DisneySea. Ariel was late as usual to her starring role at King Triton’s concert hall. The lavish production of popular songs from the film was performed by Flounder, Sebastian, and other familiar characters (including Ariel herself once she’s found). New screens, an upgraded stage, and suspended performers made the new show dazzle. Sadly, it did not reopen after the pandemic. [10 years ago in 2025]
