Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration is just about a month away. Ahead of the arrival of this milestone celebration, more details are being revealed about what guests will get to experience. This includes new MagicBand+ interactive points at Disneyland, special magic from Disney Photopass, a new tour, and the opportunity for guests to vote on what version of World of Color Happiness! they see.
Each night ahead of the first World of Color Happiness! presentation, guests in Disney California Adventure will be invited to vote on the Disneyland App for one of four different Emotions:
- Sadness
- Anger
- Disgust
- Envy
The outcome of this vote will decide who is featured in special scenes throughout both of that day’s shows. Guests should enable push notifications and location services on their mobile device to know when it is time to vote.
Muppet Magic Before the Show
When World of Color Happiness! debuts there will be plenty of magic to be enjoyed by those who are watching it. Along with the new voting feature, before the show begins there will be magic to be enjoyed. Ahead of the beginning of the show, a special message will be delivered by over a dozen of The Muppets, who are guided by Joe the Legal Weasel. This will utilize vivid projections and expressive fountains ahead of the show.
World of Color Happiness!
World of Color Happiness! will be an exploration of “happy” through a kaleidoscope of emotions. It will be hosted by Joy and the other Emotions that come from Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside Out 2. Throughout this musical journey, the Emotions will manifest music and moments from other favorite Pixar films, including Turning Red and The Incredibles, along with Disney favorites like A Goofy Movie, Tangled, Encanto, and more.
World of Color Happiness! is described as an “interactive joyride.” Guests will be encouraged to sing and dance along with the nighttime spectacular. It will feature some classic Disney songs and other iconic favorites. One of the songs that will be featured is Rainbow Connection. It will be sung by Boyz II Men. FITZ, the frontman and namesake of multi-platinum hitmakers Fitz and the Tantrums, will be debuting a new original song for World of Color Happiness. It will be called Makes Me Wanna Move.
By the end of the show, guests will discover that happiness is a combination of many emotional colors and that Disneyland Resort is “the magical place at the end of the rainbow where all those colors come together.”
World of Color first debuted in 2010. Since then, there have been variations and completely different versions of the show presented at Disney California Adventure. These different versions of the show have come for different celebrations or holidays.
