World of Color Happiness! will debut at Disney California Adventure as a part of Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. When it does, this newest iteration of this nighttime spectacular will bring Paradise Bay to life with magical music, colorful fountains, lighting effects, lasers, flames, fog, and more! The show is inspired by Walt Disney’s words on the opening day of Disneyland on July 17, 1955: “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!”
The nighttime spectacular will be an exploration of “happy” through a kaleidoscope of emotions. It will be hosted by Joy and the other Emotions that come from Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside Out 2. Throughout this musical journey, the Emotions will manifest music and moments from other favorite Pixar films including Turning Red and The Incredibles along with Disney favorites like A Goofy Movie, Tangled, Encanto, and more.
Ahead of the start of the show, Joe the Legal Weasel and over a dozen of The Muppets will be delivering a special message. This will be done using vivid projections and expressive fountains. Be sure to get a spot to view the show ahead of time so this Muppetational moment isn’t missed!
World of Color Happiness! is being billed as an “interactive joyride.” Guests will be encouraged to sing and dance along with the nighttime spectacular. It will feature some classic Disney songs and other iconic favorites. One of the songs that will be featured is Rainbow Connection. It will be sung by the beautiful R&B voices of Boyz II Men. FITZ, the frontman and namesake of multi-platinum hitmakers Fitz and the Tantrums, will be debuting a new original song for World of Color Happiness. It will be called Makes Me Wanna Move.
By the end of the show, guests will discover that happiness is a combination of many emotional colors and that Disneyland Resort is “the magical place at the end of the rainbow where all those colors come together.”

Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration and World of Color Happiness! begins on May 16, 2025. The celebration will continue through the summer of 2026.
