VIDEO: ‘Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga’ First Show

A new show debuted at Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on Friday night. Called Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga, the show is a beautiful look at the Skywalker Saga. It is told and shared as if it were oral history. It made its debut on the opening night of Season of the Force.

Tohan Lege a.k.a. the Lore-weaver tells the story of the Skywalker Saga. This begins with the origin of the Skywalker family, up through the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Because the timeline of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is in the midst of the newest trilogy in the Skywalker Saga, that part of the story hasn’t become legendary history yet.

The story for Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga continues with the droid Bard keeping the legacy of Tohan Lege alive. In this case, it is through his projectors. This also gives Disneyland guests the first opportunity to see who Lege is. As the story is told, the rockwork around the Millennium Falcon comes to life. As it does, the iconic music of John Williams is heard. The story begins with a young Anakin, continues with his fall to the dark side, and then finishes with his redemption thanks to the help of his son, Luke. Coincidentally, Luke is now meeting guests during Season of the Force on Batuu.

Disneyland invited Daps Magic to cover the opening day of Season of the Force at Disneyland. Below is the first showing of Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga.

Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga is being presented nightly at 9:00 PM and then 10:15 PM. This show will continue after Season of the Force ends. Fires of the Rising Moons is offered on nights when fireworks are offered at Disneyland at 9:30 PM.
