On this day in 1945, the Goofy short ‘Tiger Trouble’ was released. Goofy reluctantly takes a turn at big game hunting in the jungle with his faithful elephant companion, Delores. However, once they run across Raja the tiger it becomes unclear who is the hunter and who is the prey! The legendary Milt Kahl handled the tiger’s animation, which was against his reputation for realistic, “straight” characters. He proved himself and went on to animate both Tigger and Shere Kahn.
