On this day in 2020, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opened in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. It was the second attraction of its kind to debut, with the first at Disney’s Hollywood Studios premiering about a month before. ‘Rise of the Resistance’ is one of the most advanced and multi-layered attractions Walt Disney Imagineering has ever designed.
