Disneyland Paris Tree

Milestone Reached in Expansion and Transformation of Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris

A milestone has been reached in the expansion and transformation of Walt Disney Studios as it becomes Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris. A tree has been planted near the entrance of the Gazebo Garden. In fact, it is the tallest tree in the area and measures around 50 feet tall.

The tree is one of many that are being planted in the gardens of the future Disney Adventure World in the area called Adventure Way. Multiple large trees have been planted in the area that will create a green walkway to serve as a gateway into the new immersive worlds of this park. The planting of this tallest tree is a significant and symbolic milestone for Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams. This project is set to be completed in 2026.

The tree is a majestic Quercus phellos (Willow Oak) and will stand over the Gazebo Garden. This garden will offer guests a place to relax and enjoy entertainment in an elegant setting. English-style gardens inspire Gazebo Garden. This type of tree can grow to nearly 100 feet tall. When the expansion is complete, there will be over 1,000 trees added to the park to add to the immersive nature of these new experiences.

The process of picking these trees has been a meticulous one. Imagineers have spent years picking each tree from nurseries throughout Europe. Great care was taken to identify species that could be adapted to the climate of Seine-et-Marne. Trees were picked from nurseries in France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy.

Disneyland Paris already has over 33,000 trees, 330,000 shrubs and bushes, and over 24,000 square feet of flowerbeds. The additional trees, groves, and shrubs will further establish Disneyland Paris as one of Europe’s most verdant green spaces.
