On this day in 2004, musicians John Williams and Elton John were among the six honorees at the 27th Annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington D.C. Both musicians have significant Disney connections. John Williams was celebrated for scoring all four ‘Indiana Jones’ films and all nine ‘Star Wars’ films across the three trilogies. Elton John is acclaimed for the memorable songs he penned for ‘The Lion King’ and the ‘Aida’ musical. [20 years ago in 2024]
