The Disneyland Resort has introduced a new character and with it, a new story for the Magic Key. Today, on the Disneyland Resort Magic Key social media handles the world was introduced to Duckey (DucKEY for Magic Key perhaps?) the Magic Key duck.
Duckey was introduced with a story from an animated storybook and narrator. It shares that this duck grew up in the Rivers of America and watched Disneyland build and grow. He fell in love with the place and would explore it and play throughout the park. This included playing in Storybook Land and swimming in the moat of Sleeping Beauty Castle. There, he found a key that had been dropped into the moat. He swallowed it and discovered that “with a magical click click” it could open doors across the Disneyland Resort and gave him powers.
It appears that Duckey will be a spokes-duck for future perks for Disneyland Magic Key holders. The full story can be seen here:
