Disney Villains Show for Disney’s Hollywood Studios Gets Official Name

A Disney Villains show was announced for Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier this fall. During The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular, a few more details including a name were announced. The name for this new show will officially be Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.

The show will be hosted by the Magic Mirror, and a variety of characters will arrive in person as they break through the glass to share their own side of the story. This will include some high-energy performances during this show in Sunset Showcase.

The Disney Parks Blog initially described the show in the following way:

The creative minds at Disney Live Entertainment will transform Sunset Showcase into the mysterious, reflective realm of the Magic Mirror. The show will feature appearances by dozens of the most infamous evildoers, with fiendish foes Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent each breaking through the glass to take the stage in live production numbers.

This isn’t the only new thing coming to Walt Disney World Resort that is focused on villains. At D23: The Ultimate Disney Event, a new land dedicated to villains and their story was announced for Magic Kingdom. Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro shared about the land recently during a panel at D23 Brazil. “Their evil ambitions give us endless possibilities to tell new stories. This new land will be home to the villains you know and loathe,” D’Amaro said.

To date, 13 villains have been revealed to be connected with this Villains Land at Magic Kingdom. D’Amaro shared that the land’s story will be that a magic power conjures all of the Disney villains to converge in one place. This will be what guests experience when they visit the land. “In our story, a mysterious spell has been cast, summoning villains from every realm,” D’Amaro said. “In this land, heroes don’t come to save the day — and there may not be a happily ever after!”

When Villains Land was announced D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, D’Amaro said, “This land will be home to the villains that you know and those that you loathe, which means happily-ever-after might feel like a distant dream.”

Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After will be arriving at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the summer of 2025.
