It’s the most wonderful time of the year at the Disneyland Resort. Throughout the resort, there is magic to be experienced in many different ways. There are incredible entertainment offerings, decorations to check out, and food to enjoy. One of the best places to stop for a special meal or to sip and savor the spirits of the season is Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge. It has a seasonal menu that is absolutely delicious and themed spirits that are perfect for this merry time of year.
This year the lounge has additional magic in the form of an exhibit that celebrates The Muppet Christmas Carol. Found in the main lounge downstairs in the restaurant in the window formerly housing a Zorro exhibit, this exhibit is a must-see for fans of The Muppets.
The exhibit, while not big, is very special. It has been curated by The Walt Disney Archives specially for this location. It has props and photos from the film, which is 32 years old this year. This includes the following items:
- The Lock from Marley and Marley’s Chains
- Bob Cratchit’s Scarf
- Emily Cratchit’s Whig
- Rizzo’s Costume
- Tiny Tim Cratchit’s Crutch
- Charles Dickens’ Hat (worn by Gonzo)
There are also photos from the film and behind the scenes along with a poster for the film. It is a charming exhibit that is worth stopping by and checking out. For those who can’t make it into Disney California Adventure and Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge, below is a look at this exhibit that was taken by the Daps Magic team.
